Kathmandu goes Trans-Tasman with TelstraClear
Outdoor clothing provider, Kathmandu, has chosen TelstraClear to provide its whole of business telecommunications services in New Zealand in a three-year Trans-Tasman deal worth more than a million dollars.
TelstraClear, in conjunction with Telstra Corporation in Australia, will provide voice, data, mobile, Internet, and a managed WAN to Kathmandu's 21 New Zealand and 25 Australian stores and offices. The solution provides connectivity using Private IP in New Zealand, Connect IP in Australia and Frame Relay.
TelstraClear Chief Executive Dr Allan Freeth says TelstraClear won the business because it does things differently.
"We've provided Kathmandu with a leading-edge end-to-end solution and our relationship with Telstra has made the seamless Trans-Tasman connectivity easier," says Dr Freeth.
"Kathmandu's new business strategy means we need to be able to deliver a solution with robust service levels and flexibility to change as their business changes," says Dr Freeth.
Kathmandu Group IS Manager Mr Bryan Moore says they've had a relationship with TelstraClear since 2001.
"We've been impressed with the way TelstraClear does business. Their commitment to delivering quality customer service makes it easier for us to deliver to our customers' expectations," says Mr Moore.
TelstraClear's solution is being implemented this month and will work in conjunction with Kathmandu's future growth strategies.
