Business Travel Company Completes Asian Network
FCm Travel Solutions has now completed its core Asian network following the announcement of new partnerships with leading travel companies operating in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Taiwan.
The first Asia-Pacific based, global corporate travel management company, FCm Travel Solutions has established long-term agreements with Falcon Travel Service in Taiwan, and with East Sea Travel and Air Service, which is based in Vietnam with additional offices in Cambodia and Laos.
Both companies are well established and among the largest travel companies in their respective markets.
East Sea Travel and Air Service was established in 1995 and currently has a competitive 10 per cent share of the corporate travel markets in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Across these countries the group employs more than 150 people in four business travel centres and services key clients such as Maersk, LG, IKEA (Vietnam), Danish Embassy and AtlasCopco.
Falcon Travel Service was formed in 1975 and is one of the longest-serving travel agencies in Taiwan. Based in Taipei, the company currently employs more than 50 people and services major clients including Toyota, Panasonic, Disney and the Australian Commerce and Industry Office in Taiwan.
FCm Travel Solutions’ global executive general manager Anthony Grigson said the new partnerships had boosted FCm’s regional foothold across Asia.
“We now have local operations in what we consider to be the most strategic of Asia’s corporate travel markets, to complete our core Asian network,” Mr Grigson said.
“While we will continue to explore opportunities for further expansion in Asia, FCm Travel Solutions now has a presence in those countries with particularly healthy economies and business sectors, and therefore strong potential for corporate travel growth.
“For example, Taiwan is now a major investor throughout Southeast Asia and China is its largest export market. Taiwan’s vibrant economy really pushed ahead in 2003-05 and we believe its growing economic ties with China will help generate future growth in business travel.
“We’re excited to be partnering two highly respected Asian travel companies, both of whom will equally benefit from joining our expanding regional and global network.”
FCm Travel Solutions now operates in the following Asian countries: China, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
