New National Sales
Manager at Hyundai
Making the move from luxury
European marque to Hyundai was an easy one for Hyundai’s
new National Sales Manager Tom Ruddenklau. He was
responsible for setting up VW Financial Services before
making the move over to Hyundai.
“I must admit, it was nice having those European cars to drive, but the Hyundai brand is where things are at for growth and potential,” he says.
With the release of the new Santa Fe he believes Hyundai have turned a corner with the brand’s perception and the possibilities for growth are greater than ever.
“The Santa Fe is an exceptional product, providing a very high level of specification and quality. Buyers are starting to realise you don’t need to spend considerably more on a European equivalent to have that quality.”
With the latest J.D. Power and Associates quality survey putting Hyundai in the top three brands globally, behind Porsche and Lexus, Tom Ruddenklau sees long term consistency in the results putting Hyundai clearly as the manufacturer to beat in the future.
“We are certainly getting significant feedback from customers that indicate this is coming,” he says.
He believes one of the big challenges in his new role is continuing the huge momentum generated by the company’s extensive national sales network.
“I have been impressed by the high standard among all our dealers, and we really want to build on our on-going customer relations, ensuring people want to return to Hyundai when it comes to re-sale time.”
