42 BELOW scores yet more awards at the ridiculously prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition in London
Auckland, 27 July 2006 - 42 BELOW has come away triumphant (again) from the UK’s most prestigious wine and spirits competition with five medals.
The International Wine & Spirit Competition was held at London’s famous Vinopolis, and 42 BELOW scooped five gongs, including two spectacular Best In Class awards:
42 BELOW Pure – Gold, Best In Class; 42 BELOW Manuka Honey – Silver, Best In Class;
STIL Vodka – Silver; 42 BELOW Passionfruit – Bronze; SOUTH Gin - Bronze
42 BELOW is the world’s most awarded vodka, and this latest haul of silverware widens the gap. This year alone, 42 BELOW has won gold and silver at the San Francisco Spirit Awards, three golds and the International High Quality Trophy at the Monde Spirit Awards and two stars at the International Quality & Taste Institute. 42 BELOW also won two golds at the Cannes Lion advertising awards, the Oscars of the ad world.
Chief vodka bloke Geoff Ross received the latest awards news while on a business tour of Asia, where they can’t get enough of the Kiwi super-premium vodka.
He says, “There is not an award ceremony 42 BELOW has been at where we have not won gold – this gives us a clean sweep for the year. We export 42 BELOW to more than 25 countries around the world and in return these countries are giving us awards by the truckload. It sounds like a fair deal.”
