Flight Centre Announces the Year’s Top Achievers

A host of Flight Centre staff will soon be winging their way to Las Vegas all expenses paid, after being named the as this year’s top achievers.

At the annual Flight Centre National Ball on Saturday night, top consultant, top novice, top shop and top region were officially announced, and the award winners qualified to attend the annual Flight Centre ‘Global Gathering,’ this year held in the world’s entertainment capital, Las Vegas.

Based on profitability and productivity measurements, the Top Shop award went to Ponsonby Flight Centre, while Top Consultant was Kim Payne from Willis St Flight Centre, with a record-breaking year-end transfer. Top Novice was Stephen Pirie from St Lukes Flight Centre, while Most Improved, Most Productive and Most Profitable Region was taken out by ‘Team Extreme’, which covers part of the Wellington region, as well as the lower western North Island.

Flight Centre retail leader Jude Evans said the awards were in recognition of consistent hard work over the entire year, as well as building the long term loyalty within a client base.

“The real strength of our business is the relationships we have built with a huge range of people in communities throughout the country. Our repeat clients trust Flight Centre will work hard to get our clients not just the best travel deal, but the best travel experience possible.”

Other award winners included top FCm Travel Solutions consultant Nicola de Gregorio and top Infinity wholesale consultant globally, Dave Chappell.

A total of around 100 New Zealand Flight Centre employees will be heading to Vegas, after reaching targets set at the beginning of the financial year, part of the 1000 Flight Centre Limited staff descending on Las Vegas from all over the world.

All the winners will be boarding the plane to Vegas on 19 July, and will be staying at the luxurious Wynn Hotel and Casino.

Flight Centre has 115 stores throughout New Zealand.
