Winter Blast a Boom for Online Business

Winter Blast a Boom for Online Business

The winter blast that is currently hitting New Zealand is proving to be a boom for more than just home heating, snow skiing, and warm clothing retail outlets. Matt Taylor, publisher of the board, dice and card game BreakScore, says "there has been a huge increase in visitors to www.breakscore.com since this cold snap struck."

While many site visits originate from overseas, Taylor says "the overall proportion of visits coming from within New Zealand has jumped significantly, thanks in no small part to the cold snap and the spiraling cost of electricity." Taylor has been rubbing his hands together, and not just to ward off the cold!

Taylor says, "it's definitely been a boom for business." explaining that the demand for quality board games "is because on cold wet weekends, and on long dark winter evenings, they provide an excellent means for friends and family members to have fun together, without adding to power bills!"

Online business Taylor says, "is a brilliant way to shop, particularly in winter, because it enables consumers to investigate a product from the relative comfort of their own home, plus they can buy without venturing outside into the cold."
