Reports on the Auckland Outage Incident of 12 June 2006 -

Transpower has now released three reports on the Auckland outage incident of 12 June, 2006. These reports represent Transpower's preliminary findings in respect of the incident. Transpower's own investigation into the matter continues.

The reports available include:

  • Letter from the Chairman, David Gascoigne and Overview report summarising each of two independent reports and setting out options for further supply reliability projects in Auckland (267KB)

  • An Incident report from SKM detailing the cause of failure (1005KB)

  • An Operational report from PriceWaterhouseCoopers detailing how the event was managed by Transpower (616KB)
