Success Across Businesses Drives First Quarter Sales Growth
Statement made by David Warrick, Managing Director, Certified Organics Limited
Growth in the existing Interceptor business and the impact of sales from the NZ Nature Company (NZ Nature) have combined to provide strong sales results for Certified Organics in the first quarter (January to March 2006) of the new financial year.
• Overall first quarter sales revenue was up 622% to $852,000, on the same period in 2005
• Interceptor products contributed $167,000 of sales, up 41%, thanks largely to $150,000 worth of Interceptor Seed Eradicator, for the first of six shipments to the Government of South Australia for its Branched Broomrape eradication programme
• NZ Nature continued its excellent performance since being acquired by Certified Organics in August 2005, with sales up 5% to $685,000
Prospects for Certified Organics in the second quarter of 2006 look very strong. Approximately $800,000 worth of Interceptor Seed Eradicator product has already been booked for the balance of the new season’s shipments by the Government of South Australia.
Certified Organics will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday May 16.
