Unisys Up-Skills To Meet The Demands Of Growth and The Diverse New Zealand Market
Wellington-based Sean Wilson is appointed director Public Sector, NZ Auckland-based Tony Wenlock is appointed pre-sales solutions manager, NZ New Zealand graduate recruitment programme continues to seed Unisys next generation of IT services professionals
Unisys announces the appointment of two roles this week to drive new business opportunities across the diverse New Zealand market.
By up-skilling the Unisys business team across key market sectors, the organisation aims to deliver secure business solutions to specific client requirements.
Sean Wilson is appointed director Public Sector, based in Wellington. Wilson will drive business development and growth within the New Zealand public sector. Wilson re-joins Unisys following an 18-month tenure as chief operating officer (COO) at Optimation.
“Sean Wilson has a deep understanding of the Unisys business and the New Zealand market’s needs,” says Brett Hodgson, managing director New Zealand. “His vision and ability to implement strategic business plans to maximum effect will see him hit the ground running as director Public Sector, to develop new relationships and drive new growth opportunities to continue Unisys New Zealand’s sales success”.
Unisys New Zealand also welcomes Tony Wenlock as new pre-sales solutions manager, based out of the company’s Auckland offices. Wenlock will be responsible for driving growth within the commercial industries sector, focusing particularly on the delivery of IT outsourcing services, as part of the Asia Pacific team.
Wenlock comes to Unisys with a broad experience of the New Zealand market. Previously he was Group technology manager at Independent Liquor. Before that role he was solutions architect for Genesis.
In addition to these experienced business roles, Unisys looks set to welcome New Zealand’s next generation of IT services professionals, through its graduate recruitment programme, which kicked off this month. Last year Unisys saw twelve graduates join the New Zealand subsidiary, this year Unisys seeks a further eight candidates.
Graduates aiming for a career in IT can approach Unisys New Zealand through the website www.kickassjob.com.
