Unisys expands Australia-NZ Advisory Board

News Release

Unisys expands Australia-New Zealand Advisory Board

Margaret Gibson and Garry Wilson join Unisys board as non-executive advisory board members

Unisys has appointed Margaret Gibson and Garry Wilson to its Australia-New Zealand advisory board as non-executive advisory board members. In their new roles both Ms Gibson and Mr Wilson will be charged with providing Unisys senior management with feedback and advice on business strategy.

Ms Gibson joins the advisory board having spent over 20 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, responsible for government, transportation, healthcare, tourism & leisure, construction and engineering sectors.

“Unisys has real strength in the five pillars at the core of its future growth - outsourcing, real-time infrastructure, open source, Microsoft solutions and enterprise security – and we see real opportunities from customers in Australia and New Zealand for these services,” said Ms Gibson.

Mr Wilson joins the Unisys advisory board after eight years as CEO of New Zealand’s Accident Compensation Corporation. He said, “As an advisory board member, our role is to bring the needs of the customer to Unisys and ensure their voice is heard. Bridging the gap that can exist between boards and IT vendors is something Unisys is good at. We hope to make the link even stronger,” said Mr Wilson.

Steve Parker, managing director, Unisys Australia-New Zealand, said, “Collectively, the members of the Unisys advisory board play a vital role in providing advice on business and strategy issues. I am delighted to welcome both Garry and Margaret to the board and look forward to the contributions they will undoubtedly make to Unisys business growth.”

Existing members of the advisory board are former NSW Premier and Federal Finance Minister, The Hon. John Fahey, and former executive vice president for Australia and New Zealand of Visa International, Mr Gordon Wheaton.
