Big Wednesday Jackpots - $250,000 Prize Added

Big Wednesday Jackpots - $250,000 American Express Card Added to Prize Offer Next Wednesday

Big Wednesday has jackpotted with an American Express Platinum card loaded with $250,000 added to the prizes on offer next week, NZ Lotteries Deputy Chief Executive Warren Salisbury said tonight.

"Because Big Wednesday Division One has jackpotted, a common occurrence with games of this type, we will be able to offer players an even bigger overall prize next week," says Mr Salisbury.

At the next draw, on 12 April 2006, Big Wednesday players will be in to win:
- $2 million;
- Porsche 911 Carrera;
- Range Rover Vogue V8;
- $50,000 worth of luxury travel every year for five years; and
- $250,000 American Express Platinum card.

Just two weeks ago the Big Wednesday draw, resulted in NZ Lotteries giving away its second First Division Big Wednesday prize, with the winner picking up over $4 million in cash and luxury prizes, as a result.

"While Big Wednesday was not won again tonight, we can not wait to do it all over again and give away the ultimate lifestyle to a third player," says Mr Salisbury.

"Just like Powerball, Big Wednesday could go at anytime, and we look forward to turning more of our players into Big Wednesday winners soon," says Mr Salisbury.

Although the big prize was not won tonight, there were a total of 48,490 winners from the draw.

A ticket sold at North City Pak N Sav in Porirua won Big Wednesday's second chance draw, open to all tickets bought for tonight's draw. The ticket holder has won a prize of a Mercedes-Benz C240 Classic.

The winning serial number is 219-66846468-13XX

"Anyone who bought their ticket from North City Pak N Sav in Porirua should check it immediately," Mr Salisbury says.
