Maori Television Appoints New Marketing Manager
Maori Television has appointed Mark Gosnell to the position of Marketing Manager.
The role involves the implementation of marketing strategies that promote brand awareness, attract viewers and build a loyal audience as well as the development of strategic brand and programming advertising campaigns that reach existing and potential viewers.
Gosnell has worked in sales and marketing for more than 12 years and has a broad range of experience from ground-floor sales and merchandising to marketing and category management.
He has spent more than six years in retail and business-to-business sales management, and has led a team of 28 in a retail environment as well as managing a team of nine sales agents based throughout the country.
He developed and implemented marketing strategies for the Westpac small business segment that led to increased awareness, preference, satisfaction and market share. He also led a project team for the launch of the Farmers’ website and developed a new channel branded as Farmers Direct.
Maori Television General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Sonya Haggie, says the channel must continue to broaden its audience and provide programming that offers something for everyone.
“Informing existing and potential viewers is recognised as a key component to promoting programmes and initiatives that will broaden our audience base,” Haggie says.
“As our new Marketing Manager, Mark Gosnell will be instrumental in implementing marketing, advertising and publicity strategies that will raise awareness amongst current and new audiences.”
