Big Wednesday Celebrates Its Second Big Winner
A Big Wednesday ticket sold at Grey Lynn Stationers in Grey Lynn, Auckland, has won $2.5 million plus two luxury cars, $50,000 of luxury travel every year for five years, an American Express Credit Card loaded up with $250,000, a Mustang 3200 luxury launch, and a $500,000 bach, NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Trevor Hall said tonight.
“The winner will take home cash and luxury prizes worth a total of $4.1 million which will be a brilliant surprise for whoever has the winning ticket,” says Mr Hall.
“I’m absolutely delighted that we’ve sold our second First Division winning ticket only a short time after we sold the first one which was won by a ticket sold in Thames on 8 February. Big Wednesday is proving to be an unpredictable game which is thrilling for us and the players.
“Six weeks ago, the Big Wednesday draw resulted in a player winning NZ Lotteries third largest individual prize ever. That winner scooped more than $13 million in cash and luxury prizes after winning Big Wednesday First and Second Division and now Big Wednesday has a second winner just six weeks later.
“Our second Big Wednesday First Division winner will take home:
• $2.5 million;
• Porsche 911 Carrera;
• Range Rover Vogue V8;
• $50,000 worth of luxury travel every year for five years;
• $250,000 American Express Platinum card; and a
• $500,000 bach.
Mr Hall’s advice for the Big Wednesday winner is to write their name and address on the ticket, confirming their ownership.
“They should then contact NZ Lotteries Wellington office who can provide advice about the next steps to take,” he said.
“We have people waiting to talk the winner through the prize process. All they need to do is call 04 8027000,” he says.
A ticket sold at Alicetown Lotto, Gifts and Books, Lower Hutt, won Big Wednesday’s serial number draw, open to all tickets bought for tonight’s draw. The ticket holder has won prize of $25,000. The winning serial number is 205-03645961-13XX.
“Anyone who bought their ticket from this store should check it immediately," Mr Hall says.
There were a total of 58,987 winners from tonight’s draw.
