Media Release
22 March 2006 – for immediate release

New real estate partner for Minter Ellison Rudd Watts

Trans-Tasman law firm, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, has appointed Alistair McDonald as a partner in the real estate division, bringing the number of real estate partners nationally to 6 and total partners to 35. This appointment is in addition to the recent announcement advising of Mark Stuart’s promotion to the role of partner.

The firm promoted special counsel Alistair McDonald to the role of partner in recognition of the extensive experience he holds in commercial property and development work. Alistair has advised on, negotiated and prepared a wide range of contracts relating to property and financing, building and construction, acquisitions and divestments, commercial leasing and infrastructure projects.

Alistair has broad experience in other areas of law, including a range of general commercial transactions and as a litigation specialist for 4 years.

Based in the firm’s Wellington office, Alistair will work closely with Ross Pickmere, Jocelyn Martin, David Gilbert, Jason Welsh and Karen Price in the firm’s Auckland office.
