International Coup For Kiwi Company

International Coup For Kiwi Company

New Zealand software development company Intergen has been named International Partner of the Year by Swedish content management system company ElektroPost.

It took the title over all other contenders including companies in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia for its performance in marketing the publishing tool, EPiServer

Intergen’s Business Development Director Wayne Forgesson went to Sweden, thinking it was to accept the honour of being the first non-Scandinavian country to achieve the status of Premium Solution Partner.

“When they announced Intergen had also won the International Partner of the Year Award, I felt like I’d won an Oscar,’ Mr Forgesson says.

“To be the first organisation outside Sweden and Norway to have been awarded Premium Solution Partner status was a huge achievement. And we were the quickest ever to have earned this status worldwide. But to have won the international partner award is just unbelievable.”

New Zealand’s achievement will be showcased to other countries – including France, Italy and Germany – to demonstrate what can be achieved and to meet the challenge set by New Zealand’s performance.

“EPiServer is well suited to New Zealand technology needs. It is the most widely used web publishing tool in Scandinavia with more than 1800 sites and is based on Microsoft’s.net,” Mr Forgesson says.

“We’ve had a lot of success since introducing it to New Zealand. Our market is small and we are influenced by what happens overseas. But we can’t afford the kind of technology that companies of the scale of those in the United States can afford.

“Swedish organisations are of a comparable size with those in New Zealand. EPiServer offers world class functionality at a price New Zealand organisations can afford,” Mr Forgesson says.

Intergen has implemented EPiServer for a wide range of clients, from large government departments through to modest business organisations, facilitating their website management.

ElektroPost Chief Executive Officer Lars-Olof Norell says, “It has been wonderful to see the way in which Intergen has recognised the way in which EPiServer can meet the needs of its New Zealand clients.

“Intergen is truly deserving of being our International Partner of the Year and we look forward to strengthening the ties between New Zealand and Scandinavia. We hope other countries around the world will learn from New Zealand’s example.”
