There’s Love In The Air At The Carlton Hotel, Auckland
The Carlton Hotel, Auckland, is offering a special package for lovers this Valentine’s Day. The ‘Love in the City’ package, available Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th February 2006, costs $199 including GST per room per night and includes:
* Deluxe accommodation
* A bottle of Deutz champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries in the room on arrival
* A bottle of Relaxation massage oil
* Conditions apply as follows: available 13th and 14th February 2006 only, subject to availability. Prices quoted per room per night.
A special Valentine’s menu has also been prepared which will be available in the award-winning Pacific Restaurant on the nights of Friday 10th, Saturday 11th, Sunday 12th, Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th February. An ambiance of candle light and live entertainment will set the scene for the mouth-watering, four course menu that includes a starter of ‘Pan-fried scallops with grilled chorizo sausages, watercress and pernod beurre blanc’, main course of ‘Crisp pan-fried fillet of snapper on prawn saffron cous cous topped with tempura oysters and a vodka lime pink peppercorn sauce’ and a dessert of, ‘Passionfruit crème brûlée’.
The price of $120 per couple includes tea, coffee and hand made chocolates to take home, but does not include other beverages. The dinner can be booked either independently or in conjunction with the ‘Love in the City’ package. Bookings are advisable and can be made by calling the Pacific restaurant on 09 366 5622.
