NZ Post Christmas service and delivery dates

New Zealand Post Christmas service and delivery dates

New Zealand Post is reminding customers who plan to send greetings and gifts through the mail this Christmas that domestic and international mailing deadlines are fast approaching.

Items sent via the International Express service to Australia and the South Pacific must be posted by Monday 19 December if they are to arrive in time for Christmas.

Domestic mail out of town can be posted up until 21 December by standard post, or 23 December for across town and FastPost.

The following service and delivery arrangements will apply over the Christmas holiday period.

Saturday 24 December

All Saturday services will operate as normal.

Sunday 25 December - Tuesday 27 December inclusive

PostShops will be closed

There will be no Postie, CourierPost or Rural Delivery services

There will be limited posting box clearances

There will be no delivery to private boxes in Mail Service Centres or PostShops.

Wednesday 28 December - Saturday 31 December

All services will operate as normal.

Sunday 1 January - Tuesday 3 January inclusive

PostShops will be closed

There will be no Postie, CourierPost or Rural Delivery services

There will be limited posting box clearances

There will be no delivery to private boxes in Mail Service Centres or PostShops.

Wednesday 4 January

All services will operate as normal

If customers have any inquiries they should contact the New Zealand Post Customer Service Centre on 0800 501 501.
