Explore the world in comfort on Oriana and Aurora
Travellers will be able to explore some of the world’s most exotic locations from the comfort of two of the world’s most beautiful superliners - P&O Cruises’ Oriana and Aurora - during the sister ships’ 2007 voyages around the globe.
P&O Cruises has released a new brochure featuring Oriana and Aurora’s 2007 world voyages with offers of discounts of up to 45 per cent for early bookings on a great choice of cruises between New Zealand and the UK, as well as the full global circuits.
Fares on the two ships start from NZ$9,937 per person* for a 36-night cruise, a saving of 45 per cent. Passengers booking one of the cruises in the brochure also qualify for an on-board spending credit of up to £375 per person.
Renowned for their style and superb facilities, the two superliners provide the perfect way to see the world without the inconvenience of air travel and the discomfort of jet lag. Replete with a range of dining rooms and cafes, swimming pools, theatres, lounges and spa sanctuaries, Oriana and Aurora are designed to pamper passengers throughout their travels.
The 69,000-tonne Oriana is the first of the two ships to depart Southampton leaving on January 7, 2007 for a 94-night, full circumnavigation of the globe. From Southampton, Oriana sails through the beautiful islands of the Caribbean for passengers to enjoy the stunning scenery of Mexico’s Acapulco before heading to charming San Francisco and east to Hawaii, Fiji and on to New Zealand, visiting both Auckland and the Bay Of Islands.
From here, the gracious liner sails to Sydney, Brisbane and the Whitsundays, before heading to some of Asia’s most exciting cities including Shanghai in China and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam.
Passengers can discover the beauty of central Asia, with stops at the exotic ports of Chennai and Mumbai in India, before sailing to the Middle East. Here, passengers can enjoy the fantastic shopping of Dubai and the magic of Egypt before returning to the UK via Libya, Portugal and Spain.
Meanwhile, Aurora sails from Southampton on January 9, 2007 for a 103-night grand voyage, visiting some of the best destinations in South America, the Pacific, Asia, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Aurora’s passengers enjoy the excitement of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Montevideo in Uruguay, before calling at the famous Falkland Islands and rounding Cape Horn to visit Argentina and the colourful Chilean ports of Punta Arenas, Puerto Montt and Santiago. Aurora then cruises east to the beautiful islands of Tahiti and on to Auckland, before sailing to Sydney, Brisbane and Darwin.
From Australia, Aurora cruises to exotic Asia, including Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Japan, before sailing to Hawaii, San Francisco and the energetic Mexican ports of Acapulco and Huatulco.
P&O Cruises New Zealand Manager Shannon Currie says the voyages offer one of the most magical ways to see the world.
“Passengers sailing on Oriana and Aurora enjoy a smorgasbord of the world’s most exciting cultures and scenery from the renowned comfort of two of the world’s most elegant superliners. Who could think of a better way to travel?”
