Stop Over with Style!

A fabulous stopover package launched by Singapore Airlines this week puts Singapore firmly on the map for travellers who crave a unique experience.

Singapore Airlines has just released its 2006 Singapore Stopover Holiday package for passengers travelling from New Zealand beyond Singapore.

Free admission to a host of attractions including the world-renowned Jurong Bird Park, stunning Sentosa Island and the exotic National Orchid Garden make a stop over a must for those travelling via intriguing Singapore.

The package also features:

o Hotel accommodation from NZD$45 (twin share) upwards
o A choice of 35 hotels
o Complimentary airport-hotel-airport transfers
o 50% discount on food at hotel coffee houses (from a la carte menu only)
o In addition to Sentosa Island, Jurong Bird Park and the National Orchid Garden, free admission to Singapore River Boat Tour, Royal Selangor Pewter Centre, a choice of three National Museums and complimentary ‘Today’s Brew’ at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf outlets in Singapore

o Unlimited complimentary use of Singapore Airlines Hop-on bus service circling the main tourist attractions
o Discounts on Singapore sight seeing tours, Sentosa Island attractions, food and beverage and retail.

The range of discounts at Singaporean icons like Singapore Zoo and Raffles mean stop over holidaymakers can enjoy the real Singapore experience – especially when sipping a legendary Singapore Sling for half price, at Long Bar, Raffles.

A visit to Singapore is not complete without delving into the array of shopping experiences tempting visitors throughout the city. With the package including discounts at many of Singapore’s retail outlets, visitors will get their retail therapy fix.

Singapore Airlines General Manager New Zealand, Mr Sak Hin Chin, says Singapore has long been known as a stop over destination that continues to attract holidaymakers from all over the world. “So much can be seen and done in a short break in Singapore,” he commented.

“The country continues to offer wonderful cultural experiences, plus sight seeing and cuisine that just get better. For those flying via Singapore with Singapore Airlines, the package will give your whole journey an extra special experience that will make a holiday a memorable one.”

The offer is available from 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007.
