Freedom Air’s
Suite Seats Take Off!
Freedom Air’s new “Suite Seats” have taken off, providing Freedom passengers the option of more leg room and leather upholstered comfort on trans-Tasman or Pacific travel.
Passengers on all Freedom Air routes are now able to upgrade to a Suite Seat - bigger and softer chairs with a wider 40” pitch that provides more space.
Every Freedom Air flight offers eight Suite Seats, with the cost of the added leg room and comfort at $100 per person, per sector, on top of the original fare price. A further 142 seats with the usual 30” pitch complete the 150 seat configuration.
Freedom Air Sales and Marketing Manager Rachel Gardiner says the bigger seating option is all about providing more options for those passengers who like really, really small fares but would prefer a bit more room in-flight.
“Perhaps it’s a little more space to work off their laptop, stretch their legs or just relax and get a bit of shut-eye – our passengers can now benefit from the same space and comfort enjoyed by passengers in business class!”
Passengers up-sizing their seats will receive the standard Freedom in-flight offering of buy-on-board entertainment, food and refreshments and their baggage allowances will be the same as other passengers. The Suite Seats upgrade option is not available when purchasing a promotional fare.
Freedom Air’s new Suite Seats and Airbus A320 fleet have arrived ahead of the airline’s 10th birthday in December.
Freedom Air is part of the Air New Zealand Group.
