NOW - Vodafone urges New Zealanders to make the most of it
Vodafone urges its customers to "make the most of now" with the launch of the global NOW campaign in New Zealand on Monday.
The campaign is based on extensive research conducted by Vodafone to gain an in-depth understanding of customer perceptions and behaviours. The study - conducted in 13 countries - reveals that time is the key to making the most out of life.
"It is fascinating to discover that the need to get more time is a sentiment shared by people everywhere and a phenomenon of the modern world," said Vodafone's Head of Brand, Evangelia Henderson.
Key themes from the global research include:
* Over
one third of people believe they waste time every day * One
in five people believe they don't make the most of their
time * More than half believe that technology helps them
make the most of their time
These ideas are captured in NOW - 'make the most of now' and can be encapsulated across all Vodafone products and services such as Vodafone live! with 3G, Vodafone Mobile Connect, Vodafone Simply and BlackBerry.
Local results from the survey show that a majority of New Zealanders (68%) agree that technology helps them make the most of their time.
Getting a better balance to work and life commitments (26%) is considered the best way to get more out of time at work, followed by fewer emails and less paperwork (17%). A positive attitude to life (28%) and the ability to be flexible (19%) were considered to be most important to help get more of a work and life balance.
If they had a week-day free of any commitments, New Zealanders would prefer to spend it with family (29%) or participating in hobbies, reading or other leisure activities (32%).
"The report has clearly uncovered a need for mobile solutions which allow people to have more flexibility in their lives and make better use of 'dead' time such as commuting or waiting between meetings," said Henderson. "Vodafone products and services - from voice calls to wireless data cards and full track music downloads - can help people make the most of now."
Vodafone is the largest mobile operator in the world, operating in 41 countries with 60,000 employees and 165 million subscribers. The company is anticipating more growth in its customer base with the continued development of innovative services which are designed to provide greater choice, productivity and flexibility in how people use their time.
Vodafone launched 3G in New Zealand in August and now has more than 4.35 million 3G customers worldwide.
"Vodafone New Zealand has launched a range of services that have enabled users to get more out of their time and their mobile," said Henderson. "Our launch of 3G enabled products and services such as Mobile TV, Vodafone MusicStore and Video Calling allow customers to be entertained and informed in a completely new way."
The new brand will be launched on Monday with a teaser billboard campaign across New Zealand.
