13 Lotto Second Division Wins Throughout New Zealand
Thirteen lucky Lotto tickets around New Zealand won Second Division prizes of $21,896 each in Saturday night’s Lotto draw, says New Zealand Lotteries Commission (NZ Lotteries) Chief Executive Trevor Hall.
“These great prizes are the result of one of the changes made to Lotto last year. Second Division winners now win about five times more than they previously did, from an average of $4,000 to an average of $20,000,” says Mr Hall.
The cities that Lotto Second Division wins went to were Auckland, Carterton, Christchurch, Dunedin, Gisborne, Hamilton, Invercargill, Wellington, Tauranga and Whangarei.
The Division Two winning ticket bought at Leeston Dairy, in Christchurch, also won Powerball Division Two, worth $38,815, taking its total winnings to $60,711.
Leeston Dairy Lotto manager Dawn Goodsir says she hopes the win has gone to a local customer.
‘It’s fantastic, I’m going to go and double check my ticket, just in case. We are thrilled for the lucky winner, whoever they may be.”
