New Zealand Sme Market Set To Benefit From International Business Management Model

New Zealand small to medium sized enterprises are set to benefit from one of the most acclaimed and proven business methods available - the Balanced Scorecard.

Wellington-based professional services company Frameworks Ltd, the New Zealand affiliate to the Balanced Scorecard Collaborative (BSCol), a Palladium company, has made the tools and practises of the Balanced Scorecard system designed by Drs Robert Kaplan and David Norton, relevant to the Kiwi SME market.

Now, SMEs can also benefit from Kaplan and Norton's Strategy Focused Organisation Model - which gives the entrepreneur a step-by-step process and the management practices required to drive revenue growth by meeting the needs of targeted customers. For five years, Frameworks has adapted these tools and practises used for large organisations, to meet the needs of the SME market.

As a BSCol affiliate, Frameworks delivers training, consulting services, and technology solutions to organisations that are learning about, designing, and implementing Balanced Scorecards with the goal of becoming Strategy-Focused Organisations (SFO).

"Small and medium sized enterprises are the backbone of New Zealand's economy," Frameworks director Dale Pearce says. "But so often this crucial sector is ignored when it comes to premium business models and tools. SMEs appear largely bypassed in favour of the big business and corporate sectors.

We want that to change". The Balanced Scorecard was first developed in 1992 and has been implemented in thousands of companies and government agencies worldwide. It was recently cited by Harvard Business Review as one of the most important ideas of the past 75 years.

Frameworks will be running a two day Focus workshop 'A Road Map To Results' at Auckland's Crowne Plaza Hotel on November 19-20 as a way of introducing new and existing businesses to how using the Balanced Scorecard system works to drive growth and move businesses forward.

Says Pearce: "This is an excellent opportunity for SMEs to learn the benefits of this system for all aspects of their business."

The 2005 Focus Seminar Series 'A Road Map to Results' will be held at Auckland's Crowne Plaza Hotel on November 19-20. For more information, go to http://www.framewks.com/
