MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

World first from New Zealand's Silkbody redefines luxury against the skin
New Zealand's Silkbody redefine luxury with the launch of the revolutionary SilkInside range today at New Zealand
Fashion Week.
Silkbody Managing Director and designer Emily Cooper says SilkInside is an innovative and premium range of knitwear with
an inner layer of silk next to the skin, and an outer layer of wool.
"It's a world first, as far as we know, designed right here in New Zealand. We're all very excited about it. It's
extremely comfortable to wear."
SilkInside provides climate control to the body by utilizing the special qualities of the lightweight, natural silk
fibre to give total comfort and performance.
The two fibres of SilkInside work in harmony together, being warm and breathable without the "itch" of wool-only
garments. The fabric design has been refined over a one year development process.
SilkInside features the trademark properties of Silkbody's fabrics – there is no itching or bulkiness, it is soft and
lightweight, anti-microbial and fashion-conscious.
The fabric is a luxurious blend made up of 54% wool and 46% silk.
SilkInside is the latest addition to the Silkbody family of fabrics, which includes Silkspun, Cellular and SilkFleece.
Silkbody was founded in 2002 by father and daughter team, David and Emily Cooper, and has gained a cult following for
its high quality products.
The timing of New Zealand Fashion Week worked out perfectly for the release of SilkInside, says Ms Cooper.
Located at the Trade Exhibition area on Viaduct Harbour from 18 - 21 October 2005, Silkbody are making their first
appearance at fashion week.
