Herald on Sunday – Best Read in Auckland
The Herald on Sunday is now Auckland’s most read Sunday Newspaper according to the latest results from the Nielsen Media Research survey for the period January 05 to June 05.
After less than a year on the market the Herald on Sunday has recorded a readership of 349,000 New Zealander’s aged 10 and older. In Auckland the readership is 217,000 making it Auckland’s best read Sunday Newspaper.
The Herald on Sunday has achieved its two launch objectives, not only gaining the number one position in the Auckland market, but also growing Sunday Newspaper Readership in Auckland by 30% on the same period last year.

The Herald on Sunday is well read throughout the Northern Region with a total readership of 319,000 making it the second best read Sunday Newspaper in the north of the North Island.
APN National Publishing CEO Ken Steinke is pleased with the results for the Herald’s seven-day-a-week stable of newspapers.
“Readership across seven days for The New Zealand Herald, The Aucklander and the Herald on Sunday has reached 1.2 million during this period and our titles are read by 75% of Aucklanders every week.”
The Nielsen Media Research National Readership survey of 7,500 respondents covers the period from January 2005 to June 2005 and measures the newspaper readership habits of 3,435,000 New Zealanders aged 10 and older.
