Polaris Magnum even better value
It’s the invaluable workhorse of many a Kiwi farmer, and now the trusty Polaris Magnum has gone down in price … but up in features.
The ATV built just for New Zealand and Australian farms, the Magnum is respected as the toughest, hardest-working, best ride and value in its class. See it in 330 and 500 capacities.
Now, hot on the heels of breakthrough price reductions comes news of enhanced features across the Magnum 4x4 and 2x4 range.
All models now have standard Viscolok for four-wheel engine braking downhill for enhanced stability, traction and control while riding those challenging farm slopes. And all models include PVT, the world’s best-selling auto transmission.
For those seeking the ultimate in traction, Vicsolok is also standard on the 2005 Polaris ATP500 ($13,500).
The Magnum 500 4x4 has now been reduced from $12,995 to $11,995; and the Magnum 330 4x4 has been reduced from $11,895 to at $10,995, the same price as the 2x4.
“The Magnum is virtually synonymous with Polaris in New Zealand, you see it on farms the length of the country,” commented the NZ Retail Manager Manager of Polaris, Gary Ridden.
“They’re distinctive with their sealed front storage box, a real boon for farmers.
“Polaris has designed and built the Magnums for a smooth ride with responsive
handling,” Mr Ridden explains.
Magnum models put their premium, long-travel suspension to great use to help the machines traverse off-road terrain while towing and also providing the most comfortable ride in their class, as witnessed by countless Kiwi farmers.
Magnums use the Polaris Shaft Ride System, which features a tough and
durable integrated frame that works with the shaft drive and long-travel
suspension for optimum power delivery and a smooth ride.
The MacPherson strut front suspension has 17cms of travel. At the rear, where a clever design ensures that suspension performance is not compromised during acceleration or braking, there’s 17.75cm of travel with a 5cm gas-charged, twin-tube shock.
The Magnum 330 has an air-cooled engine with fan-assist oil cooler, the 4-stroke engine boasting a 34mm carburetor, electric start and sealed battery. The powerful Magnum 500 is a liquid-cooled 500cc engine calibrated for extra torque to ensure the toughest of tasks are handled with ease.
All Polaris Magnum models feature the brand’s specialist Lock & Ride technology by a wide range of accessories are attached and detached in seconds.
And the farmer needing more power and versatility will look at the Sportsman range, the world’s best-selling line of ATVs.
Polaris, the US company which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, totally designs, engineers, manufactures and markets its own ATVs, snowmobiles and other powersports products for distribution to 126 countries.
Today Polaris has wholly-owned subsidiaries in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Great Britain, Norway and Sweden.
Polaris Industries is a $US1.8 billion turnover company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and noted as a Fortune 500 Company.
