TV3 First In All Key Demographics
After several excellent weeks in audience ratings, TV3 has just secured the number one share position in all key audience demographics.
For the week Sunday 21 August to Saturday 27 August, TV3 took the number one share position in prime time for the following demographics: 18-49, 25-54, Household Shoppers with Children and 18-39 (first equal with TV2).
“To have achieved number one not only in our own target audience, but in that of our competitors is very pleasing indeed,” said TV3 Director of Programming Beverley McGarvey.
“Our full schedule is performing very well, and we are really happy with our performance across most nights.
“3 News is rating at record levels, and this is flowing through the evening into Campbell Live, and the main part of the evening,” she said.
“New shows such as Outrageous Fortune, Rock Star: INXS, House, Numbers, and Demons to Darlings are performing solidly, but TV3 favourites such as CSI, Target, All Black Rugby, Survivor, SVU: Special Victims Unit, Rove, 60 Minutes, and the Monday Night Movie are all performing better than they ever have,” Ms McGarvey said.
“The encouraging thing this reveals is the underlying strength of our programme schedule.
“Our strong line-up will be enhanced shortly with returning series of bro’Town, 24 and our new healthy eating show, Downsize Me,” she said.
Ms McGarvey said the network recognised the competitive market environment and will be working hard to remain strong.
