Fuji-Xerox strike
Photocopier technicians at Fuji-Xerox are on
strike in protest over a lack of progress in their pay
negotiations.
They are seeking a five per cent pay rise, and have been offered 3.25 per cent.
Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union national secretary Andrew Little said that the dispute could be settled quite easily.
“This is a company that made a $9 million profit last year,” he said. “It can afford a reasonable pay rise for its workers.”
The strike began at 10am and will run until 3pm.
