Brash's PM Odds Blow Out To A Campaign High

Centrebet's odds on Don Brash becoming prime minister have blown out to a campaign high.
National is 2.70 (from 1.83 on July 25) with Centrebet to govern after the September 17 election.
Politics punters chose the day on which National unveiled its tax policies to back Labour again.
One of Centrebet's Kiwi clients bet $20,000 at odds of 1.45 on Helen Clark staying in the top job.
Now Labour is 1.40 (from 1.83 on July 25) with Centrebet to secure a historic third term in office.
Centrebet specialises in election betting and there is evidence to support its claim that its odds are more accurate
than polls. Stanford University's Justin Wolfers and Andrew Leigh, of Harvard, found that Centrebet's odds on the 2001
Australian Federal Election not only forecast the overall result correctly but also provided precise estimates of
outcomes in more than 40 electorates.

Centrebet's betting odds on last year's Australian Federal Election.
