Commtest Continues U.S. Expansion With Appointment Of Dennis Shreve
Press release, 22-August-05, Commtest, Christchurch, NZ: Close on the heels of the opening of their North American headquarters, vibration analysis provider Commtest has recruited industry pioneer Dennis Shreve as Vice President.
Dennis brings nearly thirty-five years of experience and a wealth of industry expertise to Commtest. He created a name for himself in the early 1990s as a product architect on the dataPAC® series, recognised worldwide as a benchmark for condition monitoring instruments and still in use today.
"Dennis has a proven ability to recognise and respond to customer needs on a technical level," says Commtest President Jack Dischner. "He offers an invaluable combination of intellect and market savvy."
Commtest was quick to welcome Dennis back to vibration analysis after two years in the related but non-competing field of balancing. His role is to bridge relations between Commtest's customers and product development - a position he views as essential to building a successful business in the Americas.
"The value proposition Commtest offers is to provide all of the features our clients need and none that they don't," says Dennis. "Our product line is cost-competitive because we don't overcomplicate."
The product range includes portable vibration analysis instruments as well as the vbOnline, which can be hard-wired to a company's equipment for real time condition monitoring, even if the data collection points are in multiple locations or are difficult to access.
The new Commtest office will initially focus on the United States and Canada, with subsequent plans to expand in Mexico, Central America and South America. Its opening is a reflection of the company's commitment to its growing American client base.
Dennis is excited about being able to offer service, support and training from the U.S. "Predictive maintenance deals with making sure our customers can maximise equipment uptime. Having an onshore presence means that we can respond with the appropriate immediacy when our customers need us," he says.
About Commtest
Founded in 1989 in New Zealand, Commtest Instruments Ltd (Commtest) is a privately held company whose mission is to bring the benefits of vibration analysis to mainstream industry. Small and medium sized companies were previously not able to implement condition monitoring programs due to the high cost of data collection and analyzing equipment. With Commtest's product line, companies of all sizes can now afford a condition monitoring program and realize the return on investment from equipment optimization and scheduled downtimes. Commtest's flagship product, the vbOnline, is flexible, modular and permanently installed to remotely monitor the health of critical assets 24/7, automatically alerting to potential problems.
