Wildcard Teresa is the NZ Idol second favourite

CENTREBET MEDIA RELEASE (AUGUST 16, 2005)

Wildcard Teresa is the NZ Idol second favourite

Teresa Bergman has risen to second favourite in Centrebet's exclusive NZ Idol betting market.

Centrebet favours Nik Carlson to take out the contest but ranks the Wellington teenager as the competition's leading female and says that qualifying via the wildcard route helps her chance.

"Wildcards receive the most publicity before the final starts and, as is the case with Teresa, it's clear that the viewers like her, otherwise she'd be off the show," says Centrebet's Gerard Daffy.
