Election Punters Betting That Labour Won Debate

Centrebet's odds on Labour retaining power have fallen once again after last night's TV debate.
Labour is 1.44 (from 1.53) with Centrebet following Helen Clark's worm-pleasing performance.
Don Brash's National is 2.62 (from 2.37) as Centrebet punters continue backing Clark's Labour.
Earlier this week, a Centrebet client bet $50,000 on Labour providing the next prime minister.
Centrebet specialises in election betting and there is evidence to support its claim that its odds are more accurate
than polls. Stanford University's Justin Wolfers and Andrew Leigh, of Harvard, found that Centrebet's odds on the 2001
Australian Federal Election not only forecast the overall result correctly but also provided precise estimates of
outcomes in more than 40 electorates.

Centrebet's betting odds on last year's Australian Federal Election.
Centrebet says that the All Blacks are 1.08 to retain the Bledisloe Cup, 1.60 to beat the Wallabies tomorrow and 1.90
to regain the Tri Nations trophy. Nik is Centrebet's NZ Idol favourite at 3.00.
