ATV
fixed in 24 hours - guaranteed
Kiwi farmers rely on
their ATVs. Now East Coast farmers have the guarantee of no
more than a day without their workhorse, whatever the reason
the ATV is unusable.
Pacific Polaris, the new mobile dealership covering the coast from Gisborne to Wellington, has introduced a service contract which puts a replacement ATV on the farm within 24 hours … whether the farmer’s vehicle is broken down, crashed, stolen, or perhaps just needs servicing.
The contract is offered with every new Polaris ATV and Ranger utility vehicle sold by Pacific Polaris, and is also available for existing machines.
“We call it 24-hour response, and it’s a powerful promise we can make to farmers throughout our region,” commented the General Manager of Pacific Polaris, Chris Joblin.
“Whatever the reason the ATV is down, we’ll have it running within 24 hours of notification, or leave you a replacement until yours is back. That includes not just maintenance and servicing, but things like crash repairs or even a stolen machine.
“Only Pacific Polaris, with our mobile fleet of fully-equipped service trucks, can guarantee that level of service.”
Mr Joblin says the mobile dealership has already found it an effective promise.
“The trusty ATV, and now the Ranger, is an essential tool on the farm today and the farmer simply can’t be without it for any period of time.
“The inconvenience and cost in downtime when the ATV is off-farm, and worse when the farmer himself has to take it into the shop, is just too much.
“It takes a certain mindset for the dealer to understand that and to set up a system which ensures the farmers of the district get genuine backup when they need it, not just for repairs but for regular maintenance which most farmers today realise is essential,” Mr Joblin explained.
“We understand the time and other pressures on our farmers, so we looked at different ways of meeting the problem.
Pacific Polaris came up with a fleet of 5-tonne service trucks, fully equipped for repairs, service and maintenance, on the farm.
“It’s proved to be a smart concept,” says Mr Joblin. “Farmers have recognised the benefit straight away.
“At Fieldays we got a lot of favourable comment.
“And it’s not just for farmers,” he added. “For recreational riders of Polaris ATVs, and there are increasing numbers of those, we will do the service at their home or work.”
New Polaris machines are serviced at 50 hours, then at 200-hour intervals … usually meaning three or four services a year. A regular service is a comprehensive programme, taking about three-and-a-half hours.
Pacific Polaris, the largest Polaris dealer in New Zealand, matches its mobile service programme with a travelling showroom as well as its new shop in Wairoa. And Pacific Polaris machines are available through all Farmlands stores in the region, which covers Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Tararua and Wairarapa, plus the Manawatu region.
Farmers can pay for purchases of machine or parts, accessories and servicing with their Farmacard, receiving 10 percent discount and other benefits.
Polaris, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, totally designs, engineers, manufactures and markets its own ATVs, snowmobiles and other powersports products for distribution to 126 countries.
Polaris Industries is a $US1.8 billion turnover company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and noted as a Fortune 500 Company.
