Auckland, 6th July 2005 – The Warehouse Group has today confirmed the appointment of DDB as the advertising agency responsible for the businesses advertising creative and external advertising.
Stuart Yorston, The Warehouse’s General Manager Marketing said, “The move to appoint an external agency supports the implementation of a comprehensive business strategy which looks to significantly enhance customers experiences with our stores.
The appointment follows a three way pitch process which also included M&C Saatchi and Grey Advertising.
Stuart Yorston said, “While all three contenders were of a very high calibre, DDB was a clear leader given their strong affinity with the brand while also demonstrating an excellent understanding of where we are looking to take the business in the future.”

The appointment is effective immediately and the teams at the Warehouse and DDB will begin work immediately on the development of new advertising creative planned for release to the market in the last quarter of this year 05.
The appointment of DDB as advertising agency follows the appointment of Network PR as the Warehouse’s public relations partner earlier in the year.
