FCB Wins Major trans-Tasman Retail Account
Auckland, 28 June 2005 – After a competitive pitch, FCB New Zealand has won the trans-Tasman business of two iconic Australasian Jewellery retailers: Pascoes and Prouds The Jewellers.
The combined trans-Tasman account was put out to pitch by James Pascoe Ltd (JPL), the parent company of the two retail brands, and is worth approximately $NZ9 million per annum.
Nick Baylis, CEO of FCB NZ, attributed the new business win to his agency’s strong retail sector account expertise, its powerful and growing creative talent pool, and most importantly a cultural and people fit between FCB and JPL.
“At FCB we already work for a number of leading New Zealand retailers, and we’re delighted to add iconic jewellery brands from both sides of the Tasman to our client list,” Baylis said.
James Pascoe Ltd is a New Zealand family-owned business established in 1906. It bought the 102-year-old Prouds The Jewellers business in 1996 and currently operates 145 Prouds stores in Australia and 29 Pascoes stores in New Zealand.
