Wanaka Ski Fields Announce Joint Lift Pass

PRESS RELEASE
Wanaka Ski Fields Announce Joint Lift Pass

Two of New Zealand’s leading ski fields, Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone, have joined forces for 2005 to produce the Wanaka Pass.

This five-day anytime pass will give visitors to Lake Wanaka the opportunity to enjoy both ski areas with the convenience of one lift pass.

Bruce McGechan, Cardrona Alpine Resort’s marketing manager, said the Wanaka Pass could only strengthen Lake Wanaka further as a winter sports destination.

“It’s an obvious progression to make Wanaka even more desirable by offering a generic lift pass that covers two very different ski areas, benefiting the local community as well as the ski fields,” he said.

Treble Cone’s marketing manager, Anna Yeates, said the ski area was delighted to have this product in conjunction with Cardrona.

“Visitors will now have greater flexibility during their skiing holiday in Wanaka. The two ski areas’ have varying terrain and often different weather patterns, allowing visitors more choice.”

The Wanaka Pass can be purchased from both Treble Cone and Cardrona throughout the 2005 season at $335 for adults and $175 for children. For more information, visit www.cardrona.com or www.treblecone.com.
