Former MLC Boss Joins Board of Sinclair Knight Merz
Leading project delivery firm, Sinclair Knight Merz is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Scott as a Non Executive Director.
Mr Scott is the former Chief Executive and Executive General Manager of MLC, now part of the National Australia Bank’s Wealth Management business.
An Engineer by training, Mr Scott returns to Sinclair Knight Merz after almost 20 years, having worked out of the firm’s Melbourne office in the late 1980’s.
He later rose to prominence as Managing Director of Civil & Civic and Lend Lease Interiors, before moving into the Funds Management side of the Lend Lease business.
This involved managing a Group responsible for A$80bn in assets under management and 6000 employees operating in seven countries.
Sinclair Knight Merz Chairman, David Howarth, welcomed Peter Scott to the Board.
"Peter is well known to SKM, and has contributed very effectively and diligently in recent times to our Board Committees," Mr Howarth said.
"We are confident that Peter will be a great asset to the workings of our Board," he added.
Sinclair Knight Merz is involved in some of the world’s most significant engineering projects, including the expansion of iron ore facilities in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, stadium projects in Europe, and retail service station upgrades across Asia for ExxonMobil.
With revenues exceeding A$400 million, Sinclair Knight Merz now employs more than 4000 staff in offices across Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, the Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and South America.
