Wizard appoints a southern regional manager

Wizard Home Loans has appointed Jo Vivian, a former Westpac manager, to the newly created position of regional manager for the southern region based in Wellington.

Head of Wizard New Zealand, John Grant said the recent acquisition of Wizard’s parent company Australian Financial Investments Group (AFIG) by GE Money has enabled a whole new accelerated expansion strategy for Wizard Home Loans in New Zealand.

“Jo has been a top performer in growing networks and new business where ever she has worked and we intend to make the most of her skills in both supporting current franchise owners and recruiting new ones,” Grant says.

Jo Vivian comes to Wizard after 15 years in the finance, business development and advertising sectors in New Zealand.

Jo says she wanted the challenge of working with a new and exciting company. She welcomes the responsibility of a large region and working with a group of entrepreneurial business owners who are all their own boss and therefore highly motivated people.

Wizard opened its first New Zealand branch in Auckland, in 2000 and now has over 30 branches in New Zealand with plans for 24 more by June 2006. Long term, Wizard expects to grow its network to 300 throughout Australia and New Zealand, making it the dominant non-bank distribution model.
