Free Health and Safety Seminar Series for Hospitality Industry
The Hospitality Association is launching a new initiative this year in partnership with ACC to assist hospitality businesses comply with their health and safety obligations.
A nationwide programme of training workshops will be offered from February through to April and will cover improving workplace safety and health, hazard management, training, supervision, emergency procedures and incident investigation.
The workshops will be delivered by the team of HANZ Regional Managers. These highly skilled individuals have a great appreciation and knowledge of the hospitality environment as well as the legislative requirements employers have to meet says Chief Executive Bruce Robertson.
“HANZ has always provided information regarding health and safety to its members. Now the partnership with ACC is an opportunity to offer assistance to all industry operators not just HANZ members”.
Bruce Robertson says “HANZ recognises that compliance issues are a significant challenge for small to medium businesses and the workshops aim to deliver tools designed specifically for these types of businesses to make complying as straightforward as possible”.
“Improving safety in the workplace is all part of hospitality” says Bruce Robertson
