SKYCITY Hamilton has recently appointed Sarah Morton-Johnson as their new Human Resource Manager.
Sarah has joined SKYCITY Hamilton from Vertex Pacific Limited, a listed New Zealand plastics manufacturing company, at
which she spent a total of five and half years, most recently as Human Resource Manager. Prior to this she worked for
BHP Steel, in its Melbourne head office.
Sarah's introduction to Human Resources came about after she graduated with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human
Resources, from Massey University. She then gained a place on a graduate programme with BHP Steel in Australia.
Since joining SKYCITY, Sarah says she's enjoying learning a new industry and is excited about the variety offered by her
role with the company.
"I thrive on the environment that working in Human Resources creates because no two days are the same, especially in a
busy entertainment business. Human Resources is of value not only to the company, but staff themselves as it helps them
with day-to-day work situations and information as well as encouraging them to develop their careers at SKYCITY and
providing the support to enable them to do this," says Sarah.
SKYCITY Hamilton opened in September 2002. The main gaming floor includes 23 gaming tables, 339 gaming machines and a
private gaming room. The restaurant and bar, function facilities and four levels of underground parking, plus central
location, make this venue a top quality venue to visit for fun and entertainment.
