MYOB Making It Easy To Set Up Shop
The latest point-of-sale software solution developed for New Zealand's retail sector makes it easy for businesses to set up shop, with a new package designed for both new and existing retailers.
MYOB RetailBasics provides retailers with all the features of an advanced cash register using a standard PC. The product, which will be launched on 21 February, will be available for $495 including GST. An advanced package, MYOB RetailReady, made available at the same time, will provide a complete point-of-sale solution, including accounting management software and bundled peripherals for only $1695 including GST. Both packages will be available through MYOB's national retail and reseller network.
MYOB Retail Business manager Ric Horsfall says the products are designed to provide retailers with everything they need to start a business or upgrade their existing point-of-sale system.
"RetailBasics was created as an affordable off-the-shelf solution - developed with the cash register user in mind."
"For the small retail business, this is the ideal way to move to a PC-based point-of-sale system, making their stock and financial management more efficient and enabling them to fully integrate their systems with MYOB's accounting solutions," Ric Horsfall says.
RetailBasics has the ability to store information and transactions relating to staff, departments, stock items and customers - providing the retailer with an accurate picture of the performance of their business.
The solution is designed for ease of use, with an intuitive interface for processing transactions by a variety of methods. RetailBasics also enables retailers to maintain a stock database and manage their customer information.
The solution also provides a range of security options, with a continuous audit providing a secure record of every transaction, and systems to help protect the retailer from fraudulent activity.
Ric Horsfall says when it comes to 'doing the books' a retailer can easily transfer data from MYOB RetailBasics to most MYOB business software.
"Our bundled package, MYOB RetailReady, is designed to provide businesses with the complete solution - including MYOB's award-winning accounting software."
MYOB RetailReady includes MYOB RetailBasics and MYOB Accounting, as well as a Posiflex barcode scanner, cash drawer and docket printer - all of which work directly with the software.
Mr Horsfall says the new releases have established MYOB as the complete supplier to the New Zealand retail industry.
"By adding MYOB RetailBasics and RetailReady to our family of products, which includes the advanced point-of-sale solution MYOB RetailManager and the multi-store MYOB RetailEnterprise, our recently released solution for the local hospitality industry, MYOB POSITive Touch, and MYOB's accounting and payroll products, we now supply everything New Zealand retailers need to make their businesses more effective."
