Call For Volunteers

Help raise funds for Kidz First Children’s Hospital at SKYCITY Starlight Symphony Saturday 19 February 2005 – Auckland Domain

We need your help to raise funds by selling lightsticks and collecting donations at the SKYCITY Starlight Symphony. The more volunteers we have the more money we’re likely to raise for the benefit of Kidz First.

Kidz First Children’s Hospital in Counties Manukau treats over 11,000 New Zealand children each year. As well as its main services the hospital has its own emergency department and neonatal intensive care unit to care for premature babies. It also has a large community-based team that treats sick children in their homes.

Funds raised at the SKYCITY Starlight Symphony will support Kidz First’s ongoing work to boost the health of our young ones.

Did you know?

In Counties Manukau… There are 100,000 children under the age of 15 and 40% of these children live in impoverished conditions. Every day 20 babies are born, 1 is low birth-weight, 1 has a teenage mother and 4 of the babies will be admitted to hospital in their first year of life. Poverty related diseases such as respiratory illnesses and meningococcal meningitis are a significant problem.

You can help make a difference by simply lending a few hours of your time!

Event details Where: Auckland Domain When: Saturday 19 February 2005 volunteers required from 4.00pm-10.00pm
