Vehicle Testing NZ clears the final regulatory hurdles to acquire On Road Business
Vehicle Testing New Zealand Limited (VTNZ) has now received clearance from both the Commerce Commission and the Land Transport Safety Authority to acquire the business of On Road New Zealand limited.
VTNZ Chief Executive Mike Walsh said “Commerce Commission and LTSA clearance were the final regulatory hurdles that we had to clear in order to begin operating both VTNZ and On Road under the same ownership, for the maximum benefit of the customers of both organisations.”
Mr Walsh said it was business as usual for staff and customers of both VTNZ and On Road, which will continue to operate as separate businesses.
VTNZ is owned by the Motor Trade Association and operates 60 vehicle-testing stations around the country; On Road operates at 15 locations throughout New Zealand.
Both organisations offer a comprehensive range of vehicle safety inspection services including:
• Warrant of Fitness (WoF)
• Certificate of Fitness - Light Vehicles (CoF A), Heavy Vehicles (CoF B)
• Imported Vehicle Compliance Services at a variety of LTSA authorised sites
• Crash Investigations
• Pre purchase inspections
In addition we provide LTSA counter services such as:
• Vehicle Registration
• Re-registration certification
• Change of ownership
• Road User Charges (RUC)
• Driver License Services
