PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Defeats Oracle, SAP, and Ultimate Software in Head-to-Head Product Competition PeopleSoft Wins
Portal and Employee Self-Service Competition at Human Resource Executive’s Annual HR Technology Conference
PeopleSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT) today announced that its PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS portal and self-service applications
won the second annual product shootout competition at Human Resource Executive’s 7th Annual HR Technology Conference in
Chicago. At the Portal and Self-Service product competition, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP and Ultimate software executives
each had a fixed amount of time to demonstrate how their products could be used to complete a set of common HR tasks.
More than 200 HR and IT executives who judged the competition voted PeopleSoft HRMS the best overall portal and
self-service solution.
“The HR Technology Conference is the only event in the world where HCM vendors agree to demonstrate the exact same tasks
so they can compete head to head on standard operations and be judged by their customers as well as their competitors’
customers,” said Bill Kutik, co-chairman of HR Technology Conference. “Clearly, PeopleSoft was the favourite of the
hundreds of executives in the room, who preferred their portal and self-service solution to the competition.”
During the shootout, PeopleSoft and its competitors demonstrated how end-users would use employee and manager
self-service tools within HCM applications to perform scripted tasks such as adding a dependent to an employee’s
benefits, enrolling in a learning class, transferring an employee, and utilising analytics to gain insight into overall
workforce performance.
