Digirama Off To A Flying Start Kiwi Music Fans Flock To Legal Download Site
Digirama Headquarters, Albany, New Zealand – Nov 3 2004: It’s now day three of the Digirama legal download revolution, and Kiwi music fans are flocking to http://www.digirama.co.nz/ in big numbers.
With more than 100 music fans a day signing up as registered users, Digirama Managing Director Shaun Davis is delighted with the site’s launch on November 1.
“Digirama is up and running, and we’re very pleased with the response so far” says Davis, who founded the site with his brother Garth. “More than 6,000 tracks have been previewed so far, and we’ve served more than 20,000 album views.”
Sales of albums, tracks and media players are above target, and Davis is now looking forward to adding more tracks to the site as the remaining record companies sign up to be part of the legal download revolution.
“We will be uploading several thousand more tracks this week, and we expect to have the rest of the majors and a number of indie labels on board very soon. We’re well on the way to providing Kiwi music fans with a truly full-service digital music store.”
