Freedom Air sales and marketing manager Rachel Gardiner says Freedom’s pleased to be able to celebrate nine years of successful operation by rewarding customers.
“Freedom Air began with direct flights from Auckland but we now fly out of six New Zealand ports to four Australian destinations as well as Fiji. We know we’ve only been able to grow our services due to the support from our customers so we’re pleased to be able to say thank you with these really, really small fares.”
In the past nine years, Freedom Air has transported more than 2.5 million customers between its trans-Tasman and Fijian destinations.
“We’re really proud of the fact that Freedom has played an important role in making travel accessible to those who may not have considered it before. As a leisure-focused airline, we aim to encourage people to enjoy traveling at an affordable price.
“We hope our customers will take advantage of this opportunity to visit their favourite Ozzie destination. If waiting for the Easter break just seems too far away we suggest you get in and book now to ensure you don’t miss out on celebrating summer in Oz!” she says.
Gardiner says Freedom’s own birthday present is the addition of a fifth aircraft to its fleet, which arrives in December. “In May next year we’ll be introducing Airbuses to replace the current Boeing 737-300, but for the meantime we’re just pleased to have another plane in the sky.
“As we enter our tenth year of operation, we’re also looking at the future of Freedom Air. Our future will see us continue to fly to, and investigate, new destinations within five hours in the Tasman/Pacific region that support our value based model.
”We’re committed to ensuring we provide the lowest fares and introducing products that make it easier for our customers to plan their holidays.”
Freedom Air is 100% owned by Air New Zealand.
