The Bombay Sapphire Design Room signals a new age of appreciation for New Zealand design
Bombay Sapphire, internationally renowned as a champion of the design community is launching its support for New Zealand design at the inaugural Bombay Sapphire Design Room exhibition in Auckland (18-21 October)
Fifty of the country’s top product designers, from furniture to glassware are showcasing their work on site at Air New Zealand Fashion Week as part of a government initiative by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to highlight superb design as not just the domain of the catwalk.
The opportunity to sponsor this inaugural exhibition was an instinctive one for Bombay Sapphire in New Zealand . Brand Manager, Mia Hansson said the support for New Zealand ’s design community is aligned with the global positioning of Bombay Sapphire.
“Bombay Sapphire prides itself on its sophisticated allure through its elegant and distinctive taste and outstanding bottle. All our global promotion reflects these values. It’s fantastic to bring the strength of this alignment to New Zealand with the Bombay Sapphire Design Room.”
Bombay Sapphire’s international affiliation with the design world includes working around the globe on projects including on line exhibitions at www.bombaysapphire.com and the commissioning of signature Bombay Sapphire martini glasses by leading designers.
Bombay Sapphire will host the official opening party with guests enjoying the signature cocktail created for Air New Zealand Fashion Week , the Bombay Blush plus classic martinis and Bombay and tonics.
“As well as promoting these superbly curated items, the Bombay Sapphire Design Room is also a showcase for the Bombay Sapphire brand,” said Hansson.
“As New Zealand ’s most preferred gin, we are excited about the opportunity of developing our profile within the design arena and of course bringing loyal Bombay Sapphire consumers to enjoy the significant and inspiring world of design.
The Bombay Sapphire Design Room sits alongside the brands commitment to Air New Zealand Fashion Week .
As official spirit of the collections, Bombay Sapphire cocktails will be served throughout the event, at all the official functions and especially at the show of Liz Mitchell . Famed for her red carpet couture, Liz has created a cocktail called Rose D’Amour featuring Bombay Sapphire and rose petals.
The Bombay Sapphire Design Room in association with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise will be open from the 18 to 21 October at the Air New Zealand Fashion Week venue at the Auckland Viaduct.
