Growth & innovation is based on SME enterprise

8th October 2004

The future of NZ in terms of growth & innovation is based on SME enterprise

Have you ever wanted to get Hon John Tamihere, Dick Hubbard and Roger Kerr in the same room together?

Well now is your chance. To kick start this years Sustainable Business Network’s Conference “Sustainable Growth & Innovation – Inspiration towards Action” there will be a conference debate that is open to the public to attend.

Hear these guys battle it out around the topic “The future of NZ in terms of growth and innovation is based on SME Enterprise”

On the affirmative team will be the new Mayor of Auckland (maybe) Dick Hubbard, Hon John Tamihere (Minister for Small Business) and Bridgid Hardy (B_E_E Beauty Engineered for Ever).

Doing their part for the negative point of view will be Roger Kerr of the NZ Business Round Table, and Professor Mike Pratt and Heather Bircham of the University of Waikato Management School.

Acting as adjudicator over this potentially explosive group will be business journalist Rod Oram.

Come along and hear this lively and entertaining debate, and see the small guys take on the big guys.

The debate kindly sponsored by the New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development, will begin at 6pm with drinks and nibbles in the Reception Lounge, Auckland Town Hall (entrance at the clock tower end of the Town Hall)

Tickets to the debate cost $35 and can be obtained by calling the Sustainable Business Network on 920 2400 or emailing office@sustainable.org.nz
