ACP Media launches New Zealand Motorhomes

ACP Media launches New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations

ACP Media’s Trader Group today announced the launch of New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations, a monthly magazine dedicated to motorhome and caravan owners, holiday-makers and traders.

The glossy 84-page magazine will go on sale for $4.95 on Thursday 30 September, featuring great stories on vehicles and holiday spots as well as over 500 listings of motorhomes, caravans and camping equipment for sale.

“New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations taps into the growing popularity of using motorhomes or caravans to experience New Zealand’s great holiday locations,” said Heith Mackay-Cruise, CEO of ACP Media.

Lee Williams, General Manager of ACP Media’s Trader Group, said people were switching from the traditional Kiwi bach to motorhomes and caravans as holiday property prices became increasingly expensive. “You can see the trend in the membership numbers of motorhome and caravan clubs. For example, the NZ Motor Caravan Association has around 22,000 members, and membership is increasing 12 percent every year. That indicates a big market and strong interest for New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations,” said Mr Williams.

Edited by Andrew Kerr, New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations delivers high quality editorial covering vehicle and product reviews, stories on motorhome and campervan owners, the outdoor lifestyle and great motoring holiday destinations. The magazine’s comprehensive classifieds section will also appear on the associated website, www.motorhomepoint.co.nz.

Readers of the first three issues have the chance to win a $10,000 Summer Serada pack containing among other items a freezer, TV, video and BBQ.

“There is a big demand for the great range of content New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations offers”, said Mr Williams.

“Trader Group commissioned market research by the University of Canterbury, which showed high demand for motorhome-related articles, reviews, classifieds and destination information in a single magazine. New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations is the only publication delivering all of this content in one package.

“Our research showed that people went camping or used a caravan because they enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle, freedom, holidays and the leisure activities associated with the outdoors. Cost was also an important factor.

“Trader Group is committed to taking advantage of growth opportunities across the full market spectrum, and the launch of New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations is an example of this. We are filling a gap in the market with a quality publication,” said Mr Williams.

New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations will join other classifieds, lifestyle and automotive titles produced by ACP Media’s Trader Group, including Lifestyle Block and Auto Trader.

“The launch of New Zealand Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations reinforces ACP Media’s position as a leading publisher of a whole stable of popular and premium magazine titles and is a further milestone in our dynamic growth path, signalled by new titles recently launched in New Zealand (FQ Men, Gourmet Traveller Wine), and enhancements to other signature local magazine brands (North & South),” said Mr Mackay-Cruise.

“Our investment underscores our commitment to employing New Zealand people, producing New Zealand content and using New Zealand infrastructure.”
