New Zealand's First Locally Made Men's Hair Remover Offers Hope To China's Hairiest Man
Marzena, the makers of New Zealand's first locally made male hair remover, have done some quick calculations on how much of their new Zeno product it would take to de-fuzz the hairiest man in China who featured so prominently in the NZ Herald's World section this morning.
Aspiring rock star Yu Zhenhuan, who is covered with around 41 hairs per square centimetre - across 96 per cent of his body, is what one might reasonably describe as a depilatory challenge.
Working on Zeno's normal coverage rates, it would take six tubes of the hair remover lotion to tackle his legs and arms and 2 packs of 20 wax strips to de-fuzz his chest and back. Although each application only takes five minutes to work, Marzena estimates it could take as long as two hours to tackle the whole depilatory and waxing process.
However unlike the Zeno target market - Kiwi men keen on sport who want to be as hairfree as possible for speed, ease of healing from scrapes and cuts and appearance - Yu Zhenhuan has proudly made his hirsute status his trademark.
The new Zeno range of men's hair remover lotion, wax strips and body polishing gel goes on sale next month.
